Jayme Hartley Fountain is our Candidate in the 4th District Court of Appeals!

The Hocking County Republican Party is pleased to announce that Jayme Hartley Fountain has been selected as the Republican nominee for the Ohio Fourth District Court of Appeals in the November 3, 2026 general election.

Fountain, currently the Pickaway County Prosecutor, was chosen on October 3 by the Republican Central Committees of the 14 counties that make up the Fourth District (which includes Hocking County). She replaces the late Judge Peter B. Abele, who passed away on September 25 after serving on the court since 1991.

Fountain brings extensive prosecutorial experience to the race. She served 18 years as an assistant prosecutor in Pickaway County before being elected prosecutor in 2024.

A Logan Elm High School graduate, she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and her law degree from Capital University in 2006.

The Fourth District Court of Appeals hears cases from Adams, Athens, Gallia, Highland, Hocking, Jackson, Lawrence, Meigs, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, Scioto, Vinton, and Washington counties.
